Simpson Strong-Tie HHETA18 Installation Overview

  1. Use all specified fasteners as per guidelines.
  2. Embed 4" into a 6" minimum concrete beam or 8" nominal grouted block wall.
  3. Provide a shim for mislocated truss anchors greater than 1/8" but less than 1 1/2" from the face of the truss.
  4. Ensure minimum spacing of single anchors is twice the embedment depth for full load.
  5. Install anchors with spoons facing outward in double anchor installations.
  6. Do not install nails where straps overlap when wrapped over the rafter/truss.
  7. Straps do not need to be wrapped over the rafter/truss unless noted otherwise.
