Simpson Strong-Tie ETB160A-SCRB Installation Overview

1. Rout a 3/8" (10mm) deep pocket into the side of the supporting beam for the lower plate.
2. Install lower plate with 16d hot-dip galvanized nails (not included in kit).
3. Attach horseshoe plate onto the end of the supported beam using SCRB screws supplied in the kit.
4. Ensure screws are installed at a downward angle (approx. 45°).
