Simpson Strong-Tie CPT44Z Installation Overview
- Use all specified fasteners as per guidelines.
- Mark dowel/bolt locations on the post using the knife blade portion as a template.
- Drill 1/2-inch diameter holes perpendicular to the post at marked locations.
- Cut a 3/16-inch wide slot in the end of the post adjacent to the holes.
- Install the knife blade portion of the connector on the anchor bolts.
- Slide the standoff base onto the knife blade assembly.
- Stand the post on the knife blade and drive in the dowels supplied with the connector.
